Darrell H. Miller

Darrell Henry Miller was born April 18, 1927 in Cushing, Iowa the only child of Walter H. Miller and Elsie A. (Hansen) Miller.  At age two Darrell contracted polio.  He graduated from Holstein High School in 1945.  

At age 11, Darrell started working for Vohs Produce and Hatchery.  He later purchased part ownership of Vohs and Johnson from Ernest Vohs and Willis Johnson. The name changed to Vohs and Miller Inc. after Willis Johnson retired.

Darrell was united in marriage to Lora Ehler on September 15, 1953.  To this union two children were born, an infant son and a daughter, Meridith.

Darrell enjoyed hunting, fishing, and carpentry as well as cars and tractors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Lora; and an infant son.

Darrell is survived by his daughter, Meridith and husband Gary Brummer of Holstein; grandchildren, Lora Brummer and Russell Brummer; and his companion of 11 years, Marilyn Mooney.
