Cindy was born on September 2, 1951, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Richard Streeter and Marge Thies Streeter. Cindy was a proud graduate of Woodbury Central High School and attended Morningside College in Sioux City.

On August 15, 1997, Cindy married the love of her life, Kent Dittmer. Together they built a life centered on family, farm work, and shared adventures. Their marriage was filled with treasured vacations, countless memories, and the simple joys of life together on the farm. She embraced farm life wholeheartedly, took great pride in growing beautiful flowers, and had a special place in her heart for animals. A devoted caretaker to many beloved kitties over the years, Cindy's compassionate nature extended to every creature fortunate enough to find a home with her. Her home was a place of warmth, welcome, and love.

Family was the center of Cindy's life. She found tremendous joy in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, celebrating the accomplishments and milestones of those she loved. One of her greatest pleasures was cheering from the stands while watching her sons and grandchildren participate in sports. It didn’t matter at what event, Cindy was one of their biggest fans, always present with encouragement, pride, and unconditional support.

She dedicated much of her professional life to the Galva-Holstein School District, where she faithfully served in many roles throughout her long tenure, including Business Manager and Board Secretary. Cindy was deeply committed to the students, staff, and community she served. She cared deeply for the children of the district and was always willing to lend a helping hand to faculty and staff. Her kindness, professionalism, and steady presence left a lasting impact on generations of students and educators. Cindy will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle spirit, unwavering devotion to her family, and life long commitment to caring for others. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched through her kindness, generosity, and quiet strength.

She was welcomed into eternal rest by her parents; her sister, Cathy Foster; and her father-in-law, Loren Dittmer.

Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Kent Dittmer; her sons, Jeremy Parks and wife, Tera, and J.D. Parks and wife, Laura; her mother-in-law, Audrey Dittmer; and her sister-in-law, Nancy Dittmer. She was a proud grandmother to Cody Ehlers and wife, Rachel, Garret Ehlers and wife, Maddie, Gavin Parks, Isabella Parks, Andrew Parks, J.J. Parks and Sam Parks. She was also blessed with four great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Cooper, Millie, and Brooks, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.

Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in the cherished memories she leaves behind and in the love that will continue to bind them together.

May her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
