Debra J. Martin

April 17, 1952 — November 18, 2014

Debra Jean (Koskovich) Martin was born to Russell and Marvel (Wechler) Koskovich on April 17, 1952 in Cherokee, Iowa. Deb passed away at her home in Nevada City, CA. on November 18, 2014. She lived her childhood years on the farm in the Correctionville area. She attended Eastwood Community School and graduated in 1970. After graduation, Deb attended St. Joseph’s School of Nursing where she received her RN Degree. Deb worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Sioux City as an orthopedic nurse. She later moved to Denver, CO. where she worked at Rose Memorial Hospital. She married Rip Martin in November of 1986 and they moved to Grass Valley, CA where Deb worked as an ER nurse at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital.

Deb enjoyed being with her family and friends whenever possible. She loved her nursing career, and thought highly of all her co-workers. Deb and Rip spent time traveling together to many places around the world. Deb loved spending time working in her beautiful yard, but most of all she adored being with her dogs, Remi and Enzo!

She is preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law Mrs. Agnes Martin, and a sister-in-law, Kathy (Bedell) Koskovich.

Deb is lovingly remembered by her husband, Rip Martin of Grass Valley, CA; two brothers Kevern (Kate) Koskovich of Correctionville, IA, and Kelly (Joan) Koskovich of Kingsley, IA; a niece, Holly (Rod) Brown of Ponca, NE; nephews Russell Koskovich of Solon, IA, Nathan (Ashley) Koskovich of Sioux Falls, SD, Chase (Nicole) Koskovich of Vermillon, SD, and Ian Koskovich of Kingsley, IA.
