Joyce Eileen Miller was born May 12, 1944 in Sioux City, Iowa to parents Thelma (Burnquist) and Elmer Bubke. She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Sioux City, two blocks from Mercy Medical Center where she left us for the Promised Land. Joyce graduated from Ida Grove High School in 1962. Joyce was diagnosed with diabetes in 1953 and the doctors at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics said it was one of the worst cases they had ever seen. She did not think she would reach the age of 40, although she attained the age of 68.
Her faith and relationship with the Lord was there in good days and the not so good days. Included in her final words were, āIām ready! I want to go to Heaven!ā We praise and thank the Lord.
She is preceded in death by her father; brother Kenneth; and half-sister, Karen.
She is survived by her son, Brad; and daughter, Jodie; and many other family and friends.
