Kip Reinbold

Kip D. Reinhold, age 67, of Correctionville, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at his home in Correctionville. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Memorial Park Cemetery of Sioux City. 

Kip D. Reinbold was born October 17, 1958 in Sioux City, Iowa to Paul Joseph Reinbold, Sr. and Dorothy (Berndt) Reinbold. He was a lifelong Siouxland resident.

After attending Lawton Bronson High School, Kip turned his natural knack for fixing things into a career, earning his automotive mechanic degree from Western Iowa Tech. He spent his life keeping things moving, lending his talents to Kidder-Knoepfler Chevrolet, Missouri Valley Steel, CH Roberson Trucking, and Hunt Trucking before finally parking his tools for retirement from Dakota County in 2015.

When he wasn’t on the clock, Kip was happiest with a fishing rod in his hand or out on a hunt. He was a straight shooter in every sense of the word—with Kip, you never had to guess where you stood.

Kip was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Dorothy Reinbold and sister, Sheila Reed.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Susan Reinbold; daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Ricky Lien; grandchildren, Braxton, Isabella and Ryder Lien; and step-daughter, Lori and Jerry Gray.
