Ryan passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.

Ryan Arthur Putze made his way to heaven on October 28, 2026. For those who love him this is far too soon but we know there is joy in heaven at his arrival. Ryan was born December 4, 2001 in Sioux City, Iowa. His family welcomed him to his home in the countryside of Moville where he was a true farm boy, enjoying working outside and building things with his Dad. Ryan graduated Woodbury Central High School in 2020 and attended Iowa State University, graduating with degrees in Finance and Agricultural Business in 2024. He was employed as loan portfolio manager at Nortwest Bank in LeMars, IA following his graduation. He was excited to have recently taken his passion of independent contracting and turned it into full-time entrepreneurship. Those who knew Ryan know he could take on any project and create a beautiful finished product.

Ryan was a precious son, a cherished brother, an adoring uncle, and committed friend. He was the center of 9 siblings to whom he was a best friend and light - he will never be forgotten as their perfect middle. Ryan loved his Catholic faith, and lived it. He had recently become a member of the Knights of Columbus. He could usually be found in service of others, loving to serve at church, the county fairgrounds, or the home of anyone who needed it. He was deeply affectionate, humorous, hardworking, and sharp. Ryan enjoyed calling loved ones on the phone for long chats about anything and everything or really nothing at all. His favorite hobbies included hunting, weekends fishing with his younger sisters, carpentry, and roadtrips with his brother Mark. Ryan could bake bread, craft beautiful cutting boards and coasters, and make you smile with just his presence. He had nicknames for many of his loved ones and gave the very best hugs.

Left to remember and cherish Ryan’s memory are his parents Matthew & Angela Putze, sister Emily (Dylan) Obermier of York, NE, brother Mark Putze, of Maple Grove, MN, sister Michelle (Harrison) Kruse of Huxley, IA, sister Suzanne (Mark) Strong of Sioux Falls, SD, sister Sarah Putze of Moville IA, sister Mary Putze of Moville, IA, sister Rachel Putze of Moville, IA, brother Seth Putze of Moville, IA, and nieces Vivian Obermier & Palmer Kruse, grandparents Ray & Linda Brown of West Bend, IA, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. 

He is preceded in death by grandparents Edward and Rita Schmalen and Arthur Putze.
