Chad Michael Weatherly

Chad M. Weatherly, age 43, of Lawton, formerly of Sioux City, unexpectedly passed away on, Saturday, February 26, 2022, at UnityPoint Health - St. Luke’s of Sioux City. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church of Moville with Fr. Randy L. Schon officiating.  Burial will be held on Monday, April 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Arlington Cemetery of Moville.  A visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a scriptural prayer service at 5:00 p.m. with the recitation of the rosary following the prayer service at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Moville.

Chad M. Weatherly was born on August 19, 1978 to Bob and Linda (Allard) Weatherly in Sioux City, Iowa.  Chad was born and raised in Sioux City and graduated from Bishop Heelan Catholic High school in 1997.  He continued his education at Briar Cliff University where he received a bachelors degree in business. 

Chad loved cooking, and worked in the food and beverage industry over the last 25 years working in Omaha, Nebraska; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and in New Smyrna Beach and Tallahassee, Florida, until recently moving back to Lawton, Iowa.  He always enjoyed meeting new people within the industry and developing relationships with those individuals.

Hobbies and interests included watching movies, sporting events, and collecting sports memorabilia.  He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan.  He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Moville.  Chad recently adopted a black lab named Mila and enjoyed spending time with her on the acreage.  He will be remembered for his infectious laugh and was loved by many. 

He is survived by his parents, Bob and Linda Weatherly of Lawton, IA; sister Stacey (Mark) Amig of York, Pennsylvania; brother Chris (Ronna) Topf  of Cranberry, Pennsylvania; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, E.G. and Paulina Allard, Bob and Nina Weatherly; great-grandparents Boyd and Ruth Reese, Lester & Jo Weatherly.
