Gary Kirchner Obituary
Gary Wesley Kirchner Sr., age 78, of Holstein, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 at his home of Holstein. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
Gary Wesley Kirchner, Sr. was born October 14, 1941 in Correctionville, Iowa to Wesley Aaron and Nina Mae (Whitesell) Kirchner.
Gary was united in marriage to Thelma Louise Green on November 1, 1958. To this union six children were born. Gary worked at Gomaco Mfg. in Ida Grove. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Correctionville. He enjoyed doing mechanical work and restoring cars. Gary liked telling jokes and joking around with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma; children, Julie L. Ellis, Debora A. (Barry J.) Sundene, Michelle M. (David L.) Kline, Gary W. Kirchner, Michael A. (Desirae) and Tammy L. Davis; 22 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; sister, Barb Terry) Westbrook; and sisters-in-law Annette Kirchner, Fern Kirchner and Linda Kirchner.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Earl, Richard and Albert Kirchner; three grandsons, Shawn Michael Smith, Eugene Eliot Libke and Nathon Eugene Bailey.
