Jered C. Grell

Jered C. Grell, age 21, of Washta, passed away on Friday, October 06, 2023 at the Correctionville Specialty Care of Correctionville.  A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Correctionville with Keith Byers officiating.  Burial will be at the Cushing Cemetery of Cushing with a luncheon to follow at the Correctionville Golf Club.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Correctionville.

Jered Charles Grell was born June 24, 2002 to Jed and Debra (Meyer) Grell in Sioux City, Iowa.  In his 21 years he has lived in Washta, Sioux City and Correctionville.  He graduated from Sioux City East High School. Jered loved listening to loud music.

He is survived by his father, Jed Grell (Robin Shellady) of Washta, IA; sisters, Bethany Grell (fiancé Kinyon Melton) of Pierson, IA and Cassie Grell of Newell, IA; grandfather, Jim Meyer of Cedar Rapids, IA and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Deb Grell; maternal grandmother, Pat Meyer and paternal grandparents, Joe and Janet Grell and cousins, Katie Meyer and Alex Parker.
