Teresa Mae Schoer

Teresa M. Schoer, age 66, of Ida Grove, passed away on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at her home of rural Ida Grove.  Private family services will be held.

Teresa M. Schoer was born on July 27, 1957 in Cherokee, Iowa to Henry and Gladys (Ell) Schoer.  She graduated from Ida Grove High School in 1977.  Teresa helped on the family farm all of her life and later as the primary caregiver to Gladys.

In her free time she enjoyed rug making and gardening vegetables and flowers.  Teresa had a soft spot for animals; she loved her cats, dogs and rabbits.  She liked playing cards, especially Crazy Eight.  She lived her life much like the card game, always playing the cards she was given well. She will be remembered by her strong will and her caring disposition.

She is survived by her siblings, Diane (Mitch) Sabin of LeMars, IA, Denise Schoer of Ida Grove, IA, twin brother, Tim Schoer of Ida Grove, IA and brother, Travis Schoer of Holstein, IA; sisters-in-law, Peg Schoer of Marshalltown, IA and Marlo Schoer of Holstein, IA; nieces, Meri (Chris) Edel, Jodi (Jeff) Duffy, Julie (Tim) Mull, all of Marshalltown, IA, Megan Sabin of LeMars, IA and Melissa (Noah) Ebert of Quimby, IA and nephews, Jacob Schoer of Ames, IA, Josh Schoer of Holstein, IA and Jameson Sabin of Omaha, NE.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Gladys “Obbie”; grandparents; and brothers, Bradley and Wayne.
